Makhana Salaad (Lotus Seed Salad) Recipe Ingredients

 50 gm lotus seeds
250 gm sliced lotus stems
1 tsp rock salt
1 tbsp arrowroot
1 sliced apple
2 tbsp pineapple pulp
oil for frying
2 tbsp chironjee
1 tbsp shredded ginger
1 tbsp thick yoghurt
1 tsp sugar
juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp fennel seeds


Makhana Salaad (Lotus Seed Salad) Recipe Procedure

 Sprinkle rock salt over lotus stems and set aside for 15 minutes.

Deep fry makhana and lotus stems until golden in color.

Combine with roasted chironjee.

To prepare the dressing combine the remaining ingredients and seasoning.

Spoon the dressing over the makhana mixture and add the apples.

Garnish with roasted fennel seeds.
