Gosht Masala Recipe

Gosht Masala Recipe Ingredients

 500 gm mutton/lamb-cut into small pieces
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
1/2 cup yoghurt
1/2 cup raw papaya, grated
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 cup onion-grated
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
2 tsp salt or to taste
coriander leaves for garnish


Gosht Masala Recipe Procedure

 Prick meat pieces with a fork and marinate in the ginger-garlic paste, yoghurt and papaya for a few hours.
Put oil in a dish and cook covered on high for 1 minute. Lift the pieces out of the marinade and mix thoroughly into the oil (to coat well). Cook covered at HI for 7 minutes, stirring one

Lift meat out of the dish, add cumin and cook covered, at HI for a minute and a half. Add onions, mix well and cook at HI for 7 minutes, stirring once.

Add the meat, with remaining marinade, garam masala, turmeric, coriander powder, salt and chilli powder, mix very well and cook at 30% for 30 minutes, stirring once. Stand for 5 minutes. If you like the gravy thicker, then cook the gravy separately at HI till you get the desired consistency.

Before serving, mix in the meat, and reheat at 40% for 5 minutes. Serve garnished with the coriander leaves.
