Carrot Crackers & Spiced Coffee (Masala Coffee aur Gajar Biscuit) Recipe Ingredients
50 gm freshly ground coffee
2 tsp cardamom powder
3 tbsp finely chopped ginger
200 ml milk
1 1/2 tsp sugar
4 tbsp cream
25 gm grated chocolate
Cheesy carrot crackers
300 gm flour
1 tsp mustard powder
125 gm butter
1 tbsp cumin seeds
100 gm finely grated carrot
75 gm grated cheese
2 egg yolks
3 tbsp water
Carrot Crackers & Spiced Coffee (Masala Coffee aur Gajar Biscuit) Recipe Procedure
Combine coffee, 1 1/2 tsp cardamom powder and ginger. Brew in 1 3/4 litre of water.
Heat milk and sugar until scalding point. Pour hot coffee and milk into a large bowl.
Whip cream and 1/2 tsp cardamom powder together. Spoon over a coffee.
Serve with grated chocolate on the top.
For Crackers
Sift flour and mustard powder into a bowl. Rub in butter.
Stir in cumin, carrot, cheese, water and yolks.
Knead dough until smooth. Chill for 30 minutes. Roll out on a floured surface until 1/8" thick. Stamp out rounds.
Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180 degrees C until golden in colour.
Cool slightly before removing from tray and serving.
